Beautifully Busy

Talk about a busy week; My first exams of the semester are coming up, 10+ papers are due around the corner, and my internship is becoming another job! Discouraged? Nah I love being occupied. In fact, I would almost go so far and say that I need it. Without having something to do, I eventually feel like I'm wasting away. I'd rather be a little stressed juggling my schedule around than having absolutely nothing to do and feel useless.

Last week was phenomenal--I saw "O" for the second time and had amazing company (Tony is the man!). I absolutely adore the show--water + acrobatics = love.

This Thursday I have an appointment with a gymnastics center! Why? I want to learn how to do multiple backflips! I've never been able to do one and I would love to incorporate that into a work out (i've heard flipping yourself works out your stomach and abs extremely well). I figure with my flexibility, athletic-thin structure, and persistence, I'll be a quick learner. Eventually I would love to learn how to do multiple back flips in a row! It's a spontaneous hobby I formed a few days ago and cannot wait to start it.

Invisalign trays 6 & 7 next week! Excited as always :)

Internship & Random Thoughts

Today I start my internship! At around 2-3pm (it's currently 11am right now) I will be within the wings of Taylor (an AMAZING person to work with). I couldn't be any more excited! I'm not sure exactly what field I will be in (say mobile marketing or going more geographic [like advertising in California, Arizona, etc). This field of works interests me because I'm able to remain in the business aspect of an organization/company, while simultaneously tap into my more creative juices. It's not that I necessarily dislike math or calculations (which the College of Business at UNLV definitely brings to the table), it's that I rather work with numbers in a different way. I love statistics and how English + math coordinate really well in this field (Marketing can deal heavily with statistics = perfect). Additionally, I'm extremely satisfied with the Marketing courses I am currently enrolled in (and it's only been the first week!). This internship (hopefully) will really cement whether or not marketing will be my main interest (attending classes and actually going out in the field are two different things).

I have been having an allergy attack all week! Fortunately I feel better today, but my head & nose have been congested :/ I usually have allergies the beginning of January every year so it's expected, but not welcomed. Fortunately it's not the type of sick that keeps you from getting out of bed!

Starbucks has been my best friend lately! I usually never go to Starbucks (coffee was never a big hit for me nor any of their fraps). However, recently I have been going in to get a Venti Passion Tea nearly every morning! There's something about that sweetened tea that wakes me up, makes me feel comforted, and gets me going. I will see if I can wean off this seemingly dangerous addiction because I don't have time in the morning to run to Starbucks haha. I usually wake up with a predetermined slot for time, meaning I can't deviate from the schedule otherwise I'll be late to my destination (I do this so I can maximize sleeping time). Am I getting too in depth with this? I can't help it! My mind is always racing (although I try not to show it) and I'm going to see if I can incorporate Starbucks in an 'every-now-and-then' way while not sacrificing much sleep.

Invisalign tray 5 this Thursday! Two days away! Also (and this is exciting) I have been seeing some results! Albeit minor, I can tell where my teeth have shifted slightly. Next mid-February I switch to my next set of trays (tray 6). Needless to say I'm ecstatic :D

Spring Semester, Le Reve, and Beauty Pain

I just purchased my books for this semester and I can't wait to start! My goodness, winter break has come and gone. I'm taking an online class this semester (frees up so much time for you), so I'll set that up today. We're already half way through January, can you believe this? Insane.

Yesterday I went with some great friends to Sinatra at Encore. We were considering going to Stratta at Wynn, but I am glad we chose Sinatra! What a beautiful place. Dinner was fantastic and so was desert. All the way from the lighting to the bathrooms, the entire experience was phenomenal. Afterwards, we went to see Le Reve and that was another gorgeous moment. I've seen Le Reve once before and seeing it again was great--such a well-orchestrated show! I couldn't have asked for a better Friday :)

My workouts are really showing--I am extremely happy with the results I have been seeing over the past few weeks. You'll see down below exactly what I mean!

My roots are finally showing haha. I can finally see my black hair, albeit a tiny bit if I really search for them, through my dirty blonde mane. In about another 3-4 weeks I am going to get them covered up. Why? I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely love the look of dirty blonde hair on my head! It looks natural, different, and gives me a lot more dimension. I am in love with my hair stylist--she gave me a look that I couldn't be happier with.

I got my nails done a week ago and eyebrows threaded yesterday. I also had my legs waxed two days ago! When I got my eyebrows threaded, boy did it hurt haha. Usually it doesn't hurt too much, but this time I felt the entire procedure a little more. Buuuuuuut, I loved the results! Great, trimmed eyebrows so I'm happy. The waxing on my legs didn't hurt as much as the first time--I believe my nerve endings have been ripped out along with the hair. Either way, the pain was a lot more subdued and the entire experience smoother.

Busy January

I hope you all had a fantastic New Year!

San Diego was great, but Laguna/New Port (we went for one day/night) was BEAUTIFUL. What a great area with ample-sized malls & phenomenal weather. I absolutely loved spending the new year in the state I was born in <3

BUTTTTTTT, as the title of this blog post states--I am one busy boy this month. Friends are in town from their respective states (college break for them too) so I will be catching up over various lunch and dinners. Also--in two weeks I will be starting classes! And the week after, my internship with Caesar's Entertainment will begin.

So far everything is going fantastically for me--I have been enjoying my work outs (which I have been feeling + seeing the results as well!), work has kept me busy, and overall I have been extremely happy :) I look at my animals every morning and smile. I go to work wanting to do better than the day before. I always drive safe when I'm behind the wheel. I design my future and have laid out the blueprints the best I could. This year will be my year.

I received my fourth and fifth invisalign trays today. Crazy, huh? Just this past July/August I acted on the desire for orthodontic treatment and a few months later, I am already making great progress. I come back in mid-February for my sixth and seventh trays--I'm so excited that by July I'll be on my 12th/13th tray! I have also gotten use to having a medical device (I'm laughing just saying that phrase) in my mouth for most of the day. In fact, I welcome the initial tightness of each new tray because I feel like it's working.

Weekend plans? I'm going to get my nails done in a few hours, followed by seeing The Devil Inside (a new horror/thriller movie), and working out.

Happy New Year!

If you have the chance, I recommend listening to "You and I" by Lady Gaga. If you have not heard this on the radio by now, you are missing out! I recently bought the song off iTunes and absolutely love it. The song--which is a little over five minutes long--really builds up anticipation and gives killer vocals + beats. It's a musical roller-coaster and I love playing it during my work out sessions (in fact I'm listening to the song as I write this blog post & plan on listening to it when I work out right after!). Even if you don't like Lady Gaga, the brilliance of this song lies not necessarily in the artist's profile, but rather the passion, the force, and the sincerity heard in every word, every beat, every second.

I am also typing this blog post in advance because I am leaving for San Diego tomorrow! I will most likely not have time to upload a blog post so I want to leave a FANTASTIC, PHENOMENAL, AMAZING, CUTE, GAY, SENSATIONAL, GENUINE, AND FINAL blog post of 2011!!!

I have been through so much, I have sacrificed a lot, I have met so many new people, I have both left and entered a new school year, I have worked out immensely, I have been to Anaheim (Disneyland), Chicago, Monterey, Los Angeles, San Diego, Beverly Hills, Scottsdale, San Francisco, I have listened to breath-taking music, I have taken over 2,000 photos on my iphone (3GS & 4S combined), I have changed my hair color, I have dressed in drag twice, I have NOT received a speeding ticket for the third consecutive year (I started driving ~3 years ago), grown with my roommate & cat, I received my first ever piercing, I got my first poodle, but most importantly: I am happy. I can say this with a definitive stance because unlike any other year, I feel proud.

So what's next? Turning 21 of course! Haha nah, but in all seriousness I plan on growing even more in 2012. You tell me to jump? I ask how high. You tell me to pass this class? I ask for extra credit. You tell me to be more gay? Well...I'm not sure that's possible...

I also have thank one last group of people. You! Without your support and dedication to reading my blog, I wouldn't have such a strong fan base as I do today. Sure I type this blog posts as part of my own personal reflection, but in the process I bring you into that reflective bubble. From sweet comments to simply subscribing, I couldn't say I fully appreciate every aspect of my life without including the people who read this blog <3

2012! What's going to happen in this much-anticipated year? Well I am going to vote in the Presidential Election for the first time, purchase alcohol/gamble (not that I want to), be able to rent a car, and a whole bunch of other crud I need to look up (the activities mentioned above are all I can think of off the top of my head haha). I will definitely feel more free, that is for sure :)

I truly hope you all have the best new years eve one can possibly have. Never, ever, EVER say you are lonely because as long as you have yourself, that's all you need. Some fresh air, a great outfit, and a high chin will make any new years phenomenal. Why? Because I believe inner-happiness does not need to come from materialistic items or forcing yourself around people. Sure hanging out with friends is great, but the only person who can fully satisfy yourself is when you feel complete with your own being. I'm not trying to be philosophical, but think about it--the only *actual* and most powerful person who says you're not happy is yourself. Once you're happy about yourself and can focus on the great aspects that make up your life, then you can really spread your wings and fly anywhere in the world.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

I just got back from a family Christmas photoshoot & dinner. The photo came out great and I took home a copy for myself! Christmas Eve has been phenomenal so far and I can't wait to do even more with friends + family tomorrow. We are going to have a Christmas dinner tomorrow evening to top the weekend off.

My fourth invisalign tray will be given to me the first Thursday of January! Crazy huh? By the time I turn 21 I should be on my 11th/12th tray. This January is going to be an AMAZING month and I can't wait to kick off the new year with a busy, fun-filled schedule.

My roommate bought a Christmas tree for our new place and I love it! We've had the tree for a few weeks and we have four stockings: Two for Daniel and I, one for Logan (my cat), and one for Toby (my poodle). How cute is that? We also decorated the tree and all. My parents came over and dropped off a few gifts. The wrapping paper? Cinderella/Disney princesses! Haha only under Cameron's tree.

I am about to work out and am amazed how fast Christmas has arrived this year. I will save much of what I'm about to say for the next post, but 2011 has been a life changing experience--especially around the holidays. Even if I received absolutely nothing, the reflection of my personal growth + travels always puts a smile on face & makes me extremely grateful. I appreciate everything and everyone in my life <3

Hooray I'm Blonde!

After much persistence, I am finally a gorgeous, sexy, playful, aaaaand definitely a flirty shade of dirty BLONDE <3

Now here's the back story:

I originally had my hair done at a Cristophe Salon inside MGM. I wanted a dirty blonde color and instead came out a ginger. Inside the salon it looked great, but as I left and went home...I was mortified. Surprised. Stunned. I was hoping I would like it when I woke up in the morning, but I was only disappointed again. So I went to DIVA studio (a salon/nail/skin salon located next to another salon my roommate goes to for his haircuts). After two and a half hours, several foils + toner later....I came out with the beautiful color you'll see below :) I am in LOVE with my hair--I love how it looks natural and softens my appearance. Photos, unfortunately, do not do my hair any justice. In fact, only after a few days with it, I have looked at photos with my black hair & can't believe how different I appear! Hopefully you all like it as well xoxo

I saw two movies this weekend: Sherlock Holmes 2 & Young Adult. Sherlock Holmes was a rather great movie--I found it really picked up near the end. I loved the first one and the second one, while not beating the first, was still great. Also, right before the movie started, a new 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie trailer came on! Now...I love the recent batman movies that have come out. Batman Begins & The Dark Knight were two FANTASTIC films. So when I saw this new trailer for the third and final installment in the recent modern batman movies...I almost exploded haha. In fact, after the epic trailer concluded, I told my friends: "We can leave now. I'm already satisfied." Haha needless to say the trailer was phenomenal and I may very well come back & see the movie two, three, even four times in theaters when released! For 'The Dark Knight' I saw the movie three times when it came out. I can't wait :D Young Adult, on the other hand, was a weird movie. 2/5 stars from me.

The fall semester is over! So far all my grades (except one) have come in and I received straight A's not only on the actual finals themselves, but also overall in the class. I am glad I'm keeping my GPA as high as it can be and that I have the rest of December to enjoy.

I am going to San Diego for New Years! I am estatic and can't wait to go back :) This will be my final year celebrating new years eve under the age of 21...2012 will be a legendary year for me. I can't wait <3

Refreshed.

When I was considering the title of this blog post...I was unsure. Change? New? Different? I couldn't quite find the right word for the direction I'm currently heading.

Then I settled on the following word: Refreshed. I'm not "new" because my personality is still the same. Change? Sure, but I still didn't feel that word hit it on the nail. Refreshed, however, encompasses a change that isn't overly dramatic but isn't subtle either. I'll explain below:

Over the weekend, as my chemical peel progressed, I was somewhat unhappy with my look. By 'look' I mean appearance, and I felt that if I changed a few things about my appearance I can feel better overall--in the same way that wearing a suit makes you act/feel different (often in a good way!) Also I was so bored staying home while my face peeled--I'm the type of person that needs to be doing something! Work, school, exercise--something in order to keep me busy. Not to say I get in trouble when I'm bored, I'm just miserable when all I can do is twiddle my thumbs haha.

So, what am I changing? First off--hair. This Thursday I am going to dye my hair a dirty blonde--I've tried the brown look and while it looked ok, I wasn't entirely satisfied. Also, it was all one color, which appeared flat. However, not too long ago (1-2 months ago?) I had dark highlights put throughout my hair in order to achieve more dimension. Did it work? Sure, but it wasn't enough to satisfy my hunger. The difference this time is I want dimension *and* a new color. I don't want a light blonde color because it probably won't look great with my skintone. However, a darker blonde color with 1-2 different shades of natural brown going through it will most likely achieve the look I want while simutaneously give dimension.

Next--waxing. I waxed both legs & thighs (including upper thighs) on Sunday and boy...it hurt! Results? Baby smooth legs :) The entire ordeal took about 90 minutes and I was screaming like crazy. The reason I had my legs/tighs waxed was so I didn't have to constantly shave! Usually I would use Nair (a chemical hair remover) and then feel the itchy sensation of my hair growing back within a day or two. I hear waxing means finer hair over time and less growth. Once my hair grows back to a certain length, I will repeat the process :)

Next--Nails. Nothing new here, I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks, but I'll make sure to get them done this Thursday/Friday to go along my freshly waxed legs and dyed hair.

New facebook. I'm not sure if you all know, but I have a facebook. I recently disabled my old account because it was getting out of hand with people I didn't know, didn't associate with, etc. I also felt that with this new personal direction I'm going, a new profile can be helpful.

Finally, the chemical peel I had on Friday--my face looks great! Now nothing major changed, of course; I don't have wrinkles or severe discoloration/complexion issues (fortunately). However, I do have a more refreshed appearance and am glad I had the procedure done.

December Love

Three words: Disney was Fantastic!

I absolutely enjoyed the theme park--from the gorgeous Christmas decorations to space mountain (twice), I couldn't have had a better first experience :) I got plenty of souvenirs for myself + family, as well as many photos I need to upload! I won't post them up with this blog entry, but I will sort them out soon enough. I want to go on an even bigger roller-coaster now that I've experienced some of Disneyland's best rides. Funny thing was, I thought I would be terrified going on roller coaster-like rides, but I absolutely loved them! The weather was fantastic for the first five-six hours we were there, and then it got cold fast. Downtown Disney was so cute and we ate a Cheesecake Factory not far from the theme park.

Another word: Busy!

The reason why I haven't been updating as regularly (3-4 days) is because final exams are next week. I already finished two final exams early (presentations that were deliberately held this week to avoid coming in next week), so three more to go!

I'm not done with words yet: iPhone 4S!

I finally was able to get the iPhone 4S about two weeks ago in the color white + 32 GB. Verdict? I downright love it. I've been able to take such great pictures of Disneyland (and of myself) + the speed of this phone is phenomenal. FaceTime is also a great aspect of the phone--I love being able to see the people I'm speaking too! And while I don't use that feature often, I do enjoy the new operating system (iOS5). Overall the phone has been a great pleasure to use and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Chemical peel appointment this Friday! Exciting for all of you, I'm sure. Haha but on a serious note, I can't wait for this procedure. I love my dermatologist (she's the lady who will be administering the TCA solution, prep, etc) and I have been going to see her 2-3x a year. A little bit of background: I primarily get light-to-medium depth chemical peels on a 2-3x yearly basis for maintenance + prevention. This year I have only had one chemical peel--back in January/February. Reason? Travel + busy schedule. Usually a chemical peel has a down time of 4-5 days (for me) and then I'm good to go! Now I don't look like a monster during the length of time I'm peeling (haha), rather it just looks like a really bad sunburn. I'm going to create a fortress in my house, apply a generous amount of sunscreen (even in December), and study! You see, I found this chemical peel appointment to have perfect timing: it will be the week before finals so I will be forced to stay home and consequently result in more studying! I'm already an academically ambitious student, but more study time never hurts.

Busy But Happy

I hope everybody's thanksgiving was fantastic!

I have been so busy lately--from Friday after thanksgiving to today. However, it's the kind of busy I love; hanging out with great friends (such as the gorgeous Tony), viewing movies (Stephanie is hilarious to see movies with!) and getting work done.

First things first: Thanksgiving. I had a great family night! So many people came to my mom's--about 24? It was insane. Great food, conservative family members (haha), and a lot of hugs + hand shakes. Overall it was a warm bonding experience and I always welcome getting together with the family.

Next, I saw 'My Week With Marylin' over the weekend. It was great! While the length could have been shorter and more meat included into the body of the plot, I LOVED how Marylin was portrayed in the movie. The actress did a fantastic job and definitely was the star in the movie.

I also saw LOVE by Cirque Du Soleil at The Mirage. I've seen the show before and throughly enjoyed another encore (so to speak) of the same, fantastic performance. I will admit I was never a huge Beatles fan (not much exposure), but these songs are so catchy and meaningful! One of my favorite songs from them is 'Blackbird.' Such a beautiful song and it was portrayed perfectly by the artists on stage.

Disneyland this upcoming weekend! Road trip first on Thursday to Los Angeles, California and Disneyland will be Saturday/Sunday :) I have never been to Disneyland before so this will be an exciting experience--I will also ride my first rollercoaster ever! Intense weekend up ahead that I am welcoming with open arms.

SF, Rihanna, Thanksgiving

San Francisco was amazing! Getting away in general is always welcomed, but this weekend was fantastic. With great company and equally as amazing views, I remember why I have always loved SF :) I also saw two movies: The Descendants and J.Edgar--both excellent movies. If I had to choose I would say J.Edgar was more entertaining, but The Descendants was an interesting story in itself. Of course the Westfield Mall was a beautiful location to come back to after ~2 years of originally visiting it. The weather was good--not too sunny, but there would be more moments where it would peak through the clouds. I also saw seals near the water! And of course I took pictures upon pictures that will slowly find their way as my wallpaper on the iphone.

Speaking of iphones, I'm going to get the iPhone 4s in white this weekend; I never thought I needed one, but right now my 3GS is definitely slowing down. And of course I will be utilizing the camera on the front! Haha I can't help wanting to take photos every two seconds....(;

Rihanna's album came out on Monday! Around midnight I downloaded the entire album onto my iphone from the itunes app. I absolutely love the entire album! I was always a Rihanna fan, but never got too much into her music. I love every track except one (which is just downgraded from 'love' to 'like' ha). Rihanna's album is definitely creating a musical oasis for me xoxoxo

Thanksigiving is around the corner--only a few days left :) My family is planning on getting together to eat, talk, etc. I'm looking forward to it--it's always refreshing when everyone comes together. I hope you all have a grrrrrreeeeeeaaaaaaaat thanksigiving holiday <3

And on a final note, winter break is almost here! While the date is (technically) the 17th, I know my break will begin before then because nearly all of my finals will either be the Monday or Wednesday of that week--the 17th is on a Saturday.

Talk That Talk

Rihanna is my GIRL--her new album 'Talk That Talk' is FANTASTIC. It leaked a few days ago and while it's unfortunate for an album to come out prematurely, I can't help but thoroughly enjoy nearly every song on the tracklist. Rihanna is such a unique artist that always has a refreshing drive to every song she records. As I mentioned not too long ago, 'We Found Love' by Rihanna touched me in a way that was good yet simultaneously depressing. Weird! But this complexity of emotions I feel whenever I hear that specific song is something I encourage and welcome.

Hair. Hair. Hair. My hair has been working with me lately! I believe I have finally caught on the best routine (out of the shower) to get my hair the way I want it to look. I don't like using gels or creams to mold my hair (just a little bit of hairspray), so doing as little as possible is preferred. My brown strands are still there, albeit not as visible as I would like them to be. I still can see the dimension gained from getting dark brown highlights, but next time I may go for a lighter color (although not too light--just a touch or two above my current dye).

I will receive my second set of aligners this Friday! I'm excited, but cautious. This Friday (late afternoon) I'm leaving for San Francisco, so having my jaw/teeth hurt during this trip is not quite what I want. However, there is a solution! What I'm thinking of doing (and I'll consult with my orthodontist too) is receive the aligner on Friday and hold on to it until Sunday night (when I come back) and then wear the second aligner that night. This 2-3 day change will be reflected in scheduling my next appointment (to accommodate for the days I'll be in San Fran without wearing the trays). It shouldn't be a big deal, but I am glad I found a work-around. The pain is not unbearable, but I do want to maximize my experience in SF.

I want to see a movie this weekend--not sure which one, though. 'In Time' with Justin Timberlake got ok reviews and I heard 'J.Edgar' was on the same level too. I was considering 'A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas' but I'm not sure if I want to go down that exaggerated comedic path.

Next topic: Australian accents--I am in LOVE with them. I find them so cute, catchy, and sexy! Man they are incredibly sexy. Not to say I don't like my own/other dialect, it's just the Australian accent really pushes a button for me. And while I (sometimes) confuse a British accent with that of an Australian accent, some may ask why I prefer one over the other? It's because I LOVE Australia. I have never been there, but I have a strong feeling when I do, I'll love it! I also like legitimate australian accents, not someone imitating one ;)

Stronger

I work out every other day and every other day I am getting stronger and strongerrrrrrrr--you better watch out ;) I know I always say this, but a good work out and a great shower afterwards can really top a night off. Especially a three-day weekend; happy Veterans day :)

December 17th the fall 2011 semester ends--crazy! Fortunately I don't have to start the spring semester until the 17th of January. So far I have all As and I'm enjoying going deeper into the college of Business. Now, while my next semester's class schedule is somewhat up in the air (I'll have it determined by the next week or two when I am allowed to sign up for the spring semester), I know it will include 2-3 Marketing classes and two other business pre-reqs.

San Francisco next Friday! I am excited to a) travel b) go to California c) revist a GORGEOUS city. Last time I went was last year--wayyyyy too long. I'll be gone for three days and it will be a much needed get-a-way from the hectic schedule I have going on.

As I'm writing this post, I noticed my french manicure I got on Monday and smiled. You know...it's the small things that really brighten your day. I love that feeling of fresh, polished, and clean nails with white tips. I love how I'm on invisalign, I love how fit I feel/look, and I love how my week is hectic yet my weekends are relaxing (a healthy balance). I should take the time to notice more of these minor aspects in my life because they make one think xoxo

The song 'We Found Love' by Rihanna has connected with me in a way I'm unsure if it's doing me any good. Whenever I hear the song I think of memories that are not necessarily happy, but at the same time they're beautiful. I can't stop listening to it and whenever I do, I feel an odd feeling at the pit of my stomach. I think it's a feeling of gratitude, where I stop and think with every verse and every beat everything in life I have.

But on a more brisk note, it is cold here in Vegas! My goodness Vegas has not given me enough time to transitions from shorts & sandals to jeans and shoes. I have the heater blasting and my two gorgeous sons (kitty & poodle) snuggling up close for even more warmth xoxoxo

I earned a 94% on my last Marketing exam! It was a major exam too, which made me proud of my results. School is going smoothly and it ends next month on the 17th--crazy how close it is for the fall semester to end. Another semester down, another step closer to graduation :)

I am about to work out after this post--I haven't worked out in four days! Crazy huh? Not sure why the long break, but I'm glad I'm going back to work on my body.

Cold, busy, and nostalgic.

The past 3 weeks have been hectic! To be honest, the entire month of October stirred me up a little bit (in a good way). First, I died my hair (which landed me in the gorgeous location of Cristophe at MGM). Then I received my first invisalign trays, followed by Toby (my new poodle) a few hours later that same day! I also had midterms and I was working at Abercrombie almost full-time for 2 weeks straight. Needless to say I was occupied. But then, there was a week where I did nothing--I was actually on the verge of boredom! In fact, now that I look back on the month of October, I'm having nostalgic memories of how my life was in high school. With forensics (speech & debate) and four AP (Advanced Placement--College credit courses) out of eight total classes, I was so busy in high school I had no time for anything else. I will say my high school Advanced Technologies Academy definitely prepared me for college.

In fact, had I gone to Del Sol (my zone school) instead of the semi-private/magnet school (Advanced Technologies Academy), I would not be posting a blog right now--or at least I seriously doubt it. Who knows if I would have gone to college! Or even be as academically competent as I feel today. I place an enormous amount of credit on my high school and especially my debate program. The confidence I have as well as the ability to articulate my ideas in great detail directly correlates to my participation in speech & debate classes.

But enough of that tangent haha. This week has been great--from getting lost on the way to The Cheesecake Factory to finding a horse in an underground parking lot, Keith is a great guy! I never knew I could learn so much about the grocery business or find out there are amazing gay movies out there; I love it :)

Final exams are next month! December! Can you believe it? The first semester of my junior year is already heading over the hill. Next fall I will be a senior and the next summer/fall I will graduate with my B.S. in Marketing. I cannot believe how fast time is going--I'm going to slow down the month of November and really enjoy myself. College is an amazing period of time to learn onself and I will take advantage of that--I know that sounds very broad and general, BUT I will somehow do it haha.

I hope you all had a great halloween too! Unfortunately I did not dress up--I couldn't find the sailor suit I wanted (every outfit I looked at were either for adults [meaning too big for me] or tiny [for kids]). I did go to a haunted house though! Of course I was scared and panicked allllllll the way to the location, but it was great to go with friends :) I hope everyone's November is fantastic as well xoxoxoxo

What To Do For Halloween...

The title of this blog says it all! I am not entirely sure what to do for Halloween. I would like to dress up, but my kind of dress up includes little clothes and Vegas is starting to get really cold. I'm starting to lean towards a sexy sailor--I'll probably get a white sailor top, a little blue tie, a sailor hat, and wear these perfect white briefs for the bottom. What do you all think? Let me know! I would love your feedback.

Either way, I am going to a haunted house! I'm not sure which one to go to--I bet there will be long lines no matter where I go, so I'll start early (6 or 7?) and go to two legit haunted houses.

My aligners are doing great--it's been five days and my teeth have (finally) adjusted to their new place. From what I've read, it's normal for new trays to feel super tight and sore the first 3-4 days. My next appointment is in a month--I can't wait to get my next tray :) So far I love Invisalign--it's discrete (even though I tell everyone about it!), gives me the flexibility to take them out to eat which makes cleaning/mouth-washing after a meal easy, and doesn't seem as complicated as traditional braces may appear. Overall I am happy thus far :)

Toby (my new poodle) is a little angel! You'll see a picture of him down below. He is so cute and cuddly--he knows how to sit, recognizes his name when called, and loves to sleep on the bed with us. So far Logan (my cat) and Toby are doing well--more time is needed before Logan gets super comfortable.

Invisalign

The day has finally arrived--I received my first set of aligners! But before I continue, here's the story behind it: If you've read my prior posts, I was suppose to go in Wednesdsay to receive the trays. Well I went and they didn't come in (issues with UPS), so we just did the clincheck and I left. They called me Saturday morning (around 9am) and told me my trays came in and if I could come. I was ESTATIC to here this--I said yes and drove there by lunch time. Fast forward to today--all I have to say is SORE--my teeth/gums are sensitive from the trays! Now while this is expected and by no means am I discouraged, it's just an interesting pain. I've had them on since around noon yesterday (Saturday) and I hear after the 3rd-4th day of having a new tray in, the soreness should subside.

But wow--I'm starting my ortho treatment already! It almost seems surreal that it was only 2 months ago that I started with my initial consultation. I will say--taking the aligners off and on can be a challenge. I have to use my nails and start from the back to take them off--I usually hear a 'pop' when they come off. These trays have such a snug fit! But my main motivation are the results--I keep telling myself this in the mirror as I take out my aligners to eat haha.

Now, on to another EXCITING story: I got a poodle :D My mom's poodle that is(his name is Toby). Unfortunately she couldn't take care of him as much as she could and asked me if I would take him (otherwise someone else would have to). Now when I first met Toby, I absolutely adored him. In fact, I would constantly call my mom just to see what he was doing! Haha crazy. So of course my roommate and I said yes. And how do we feel about the decision? We absolutely LOVE him. He is the sweetest dog ever, he knows how to sit and loves laying in people's laps, he gets so excited when he sees his owners/people he recognizes come through the door, and barely barks. I never thought I would have the time to properly take care of a dog, but after falling in love with the little guy I find making time comes so easily.

Finally, I got my barbie necklace in the mail! Haha. Now this isn't big news, but I fell in love the moment I saw it online. You'll see the chain down below--it is HUGE! But it definitely makes a statement and it will go great with vnecks.

This week shouldn't look too busy--I have class and work as usual. I'm going to eat right now and then work out :)

Countdown

Have you all heard the song 'Countdown' by Beyonce? She is AMAAAAAAZING in this new single! I also love the music video. I'm going to be honest--while I was initially disappointed with Beyonce's album '4,' listening to each song throughly gives them more justice! This reminds me of Lady Gaga's 'The Fame Monster' album; at first I listened to 10-25 second bits of each song and was disappointed. But after going through all of them one by one, I really learned to love the album as a whole! Crazy crazy crazy.

I'm going to see Ides of March tomorrow--I have no idea what it's about. I'm excited nonetheless and I hear it has George Clooney. Hopefully it will turn out well!

My roommate and I went to the Galleria mall today (he wanted to go to F.Y.E [For Your Entertainment]) and I must admit--the mall is pretty cool! I didn't have my contacts in so I can't account for every detail, but I will definitely come back.

My thighs are burning--in a good way. While the mild soreness I feel the next day (after a good work out) can be pushy, I feel fantastic that I am sticking to an effective routine. Discipline is my motivation.

I'm hoping that my invisalign trays come in next week--it will be something to look forward to (I'll definitely document my initial reaction haha)

My roommate and I also cooked tonight--I loved how we can be fantastic friends and make such great food with no drama. We had orange chicken with carrots, peas, and potatoes. We also had rice and this secret sauce he used which was y to the u-m-my. Then we had a chocolate cake for desert. Cooking your own food with the company of a best friend definitely makes the overall result much more satisfying than eating out. After about 2-3 hours I went to do my 30-45 minute work out.

I worked out last night and I may work out again tonight, I'm not sure. I bought a 5-hour energy last night and for the first time in years, I'm trying it again. Last time I tried it I was in Reno (back in '08) for my Speech & Debate State Tournament--I hated it! I didn't know it was suppose to be taken as a shot haha. Knowing I had to gulp it down this time, I woke up and took it. I have a little bit of the jitters--I was considering drinking just half, but my roommate suggested I take down the entire small bottle. Wrong choice for me I suppose! Haha but it's not an overwhelming jittery feeling. Let's hope there is no major crash later in the day because that would be CRIMINAL.

Now on to invisalign....the trays didn't come in Wednesday. They told me there was something wrong with UPS. My appointment was at 9:30am and one of the dental assistants (not sure if that's his title?) came in late, so I got out at 10am when it was suppose to last only 5-10 minutes. But I did see great videos of how my teeth will change over the treatment period! They are hoping the trays will come in Friday and they will call me when it comes in :) If they don't come by next week I'll consider them CRIMINALS.

Get the hint? I love that song!

I hope you all enjoy the new theme--I feel it's easier on the eyes and easier to navigate!

I have some AMAZING news I received today. Small back story first: I just left my finance class early to get food (I made sure I left at an appropriate time) when my phone started ringing. Aesthetic Orthodontics (my ortho provider in Las Vegas) came up and I answered, requesting I call them back shortly after I finished my order (I was at Subway). Now, my mind was racing--are they calling to tell me they have to reschedule? Are they going to tell me I actually need teeth extracted? Did they find out I was gay?! BUT, of course it was none of the above. The secretary answered when I called and said that my invisalign trays were to arrive either Tuesday or Wednesday, and to see if I would want to reschedule for Wednesday (to do both the ClinCheck + fit my invisalign trays onto my teeth). Of course I said yes! I am so estatic that I will be starting my treatment sooner than expected! I was assuming I would have to wait another four weeks, but I'm glad I can start this week.

So after that great phone call I gobbled up my subway (I couldn't help but eat fast!), packed up my things, and went to my Marketing class. Speaking of that class...

Now, our midterm for Marketing 301 was recently switched from Wednesday of this week to next Monday--what a relief (while this entry-level marketing is not extremely arduous, I feel that since my major is marketing, excelling in this first MKT class [of many to come] is important). Now, the problem I have is group work. While I inherently love the idea of group work, one of the most evident issues that can arise is team member cooperation. I am the 'leader' of this study group and nearly everyone is pitching in different ideas that are not...effective. Now I'm not saying they are completely wrong nor am I trying to be a totalitarian by forcing my views on them, but it's difficult to say 'No, you're wrong because...' in a professional manner so many times. I've had to deal with group members promising to contact me only to find myself doing their work. I find having to remind certain group members that they need to use the textbook in conjuction with the powerpoint/lecture notes we have. Of course while all this is going on I have a smile on my face. Is this what it feels like being a manager? Answering the same question over and over again, trying to explain a concept to someone who's arguing with you, and at the same time being efficient with our time? Crazy! I'm not upset, but I'm definitely getting a work out my junior year!

Speaking of work outs, I'm about to work out right after this blog post :)

ALSO--Monterey was fantastic; I went to Monestary beach, went to Santa Cruz, got some great Cali sun on my skin, and hung out with fantastic friends surrounded by amazing vegetation (trees, plants, etc). I couldn't have asked for a better weekend in Cali :) The weather was gorgeous too!

Monterey

This Saturday I depart for Monterey, California! I am excited to feel California weather again. I then have a chemical peel next week (this is my 3rd and last one for the year--I usually have one to three annually). I find chemical peels refreshing and they help polish my complexion, resulting in smoother & softer skin. My dermatologist and I are best friends! Haha.

Midterms are next week--crazy! This semester is going by so fast. I feel strong about my classes, however, so no major stress going on here. I have been extremely busy (which is why I have delayed uploading a post here--sorry!) But I'm starting to get back into the swing of uploading blog posts.

Next week I have an invisalign appointment to view a video of how my teeth will shift over the estimated treatment time. Then about four more weeks will pass before I get my aligners. I expect my aligners to come around mid-to-end November.

Just recently I sent my English Language and Composition AP teacher (junior year during my high school career) an e-mail thanking her. I thanked her for being among the best, if not the best, professor I have ever had the joy to learn from. I am being serious--she is one of the smartest individuals I have come to know. She spoke with extreme finesse and said everything with a purpose. It was because of her that I analyze every essay more times than I should before submittal, constantly keep an eye out for grammatical errors wherever I go, and feel extremely confident in my oral and written rhetorical expressions. My ability to articulate my ideas in a professional, effective, and straightforward manner has gotten me so far--from interviews to everyday activities. That class is within the top three best classes I have ever taken during my entire education time frame thus far.

I am planning on seeing The Thing this friday before leaving for Monterey--it looks great! If I don't see it before I leave for California, I'll probably end up seeing it after my midterms next week (midterms happen between Monday & Wednesday next week for me). Wish me luck!

So Free

I feel so free and so ME this month! I got my nails done and I LOVE IT. Funny story--I was at the gym the other day when a guy spoke to me. He said (this is roughly verbatim): "Great progress on your legs dude, but what's up with the nails?" Haha I responded: "It helps me concentrate." Speaking of working out--I can really feel my legs, stomach, thighs, and chest progress with each session. I love the feeling and I love the look I'm achieving :)

Some of you have asked about the video I posted one blog entry prior--it was taped right before heading out to Krave nightclub! I love vnecks and lately I've been wearing them all the time.

So today was very hectic--I woke up *3* hours after I was suppose to! It was crazy. I missed my first class for the day, but I did go to my next class after. Funny thing was, my Finance class was cancelled that day too. All in all I ended up going to 2 classes lol. Speaking of school, I absolutely love my Marketing professor--I know I have been saying this constantly, but I can't help it. She is so genuine and so much fun! I love it :)

Two words: TANK TOPS. I bought three fun colors today that are as cute as they are sexy ;)

Grades, Cleaning, and Toby

So after a few weeks at school I had two major exams (MKT & FIN) which worried me initially. BUT, after studying rigorously I earned a 97% on my Marketing exam and a 95% on my Finance exam! I'm glad the semester is starting off great in terms of grades. My MGMT 301 class is somewhat dull...It's more-or-less information I already know, just with a business-focus. I love my Marketing professor--she is so fun and outgoing! Fall 2011 is faaaaantastic.

So about two days ago I meticulously cleaned my entire place--literally. I scrubbed the bathroom, I did all the windows, I vacuumed twice, I took out every trash bag from all the rooms and replaced them, I did the kitchen, the living room, the rooms, and my closet. While my place was by no means horrible before this 'cleaning renovation,' it is phenomenal now. I feel better walking through my place and I'm so much more at ease. It took me about two hours in total. After all was said and done, I topped it with a great workout :)

Speaking of working out--as my last post indicated, I love it. In fact, I'm starting to see and feel more muscle and definition. Personally, I feel more vibrant and bouncy! Haha I love how I look & feel. I have been working out consistently the past 2-3 months, so hopefully after 5-6 months I will get down to my goal waist of 24" (I have a personal trainer I meet twice a week that has advised 24" is healthy for my height and weight). Now the problem here is maintenance--it is going to be difficult keeping such a tiny waist! I am currently 25" and it took a good 3 months to go from my most recent waist size (26") down to 25, so we'll see how I do. Wish me luck! :*

Yesterday afternoon I met a great new guy--he's cute, he's young, super well-manered, and he is my mom's newest puppy! ;) Haha. He is so cuddle-friendly and definitely loves going on people's laps. I walked him around, bought him treats/food, and took pictures! I'll post one up below :)

Work It Out

I love working out--not only does it relieve stress, but I feel fantastic at the end of a good work out. Then I take a shower and relax--typically I'm not hungry either.

This semester is definitely picking up the pace--I have my first MGMT 301 exam which I'm going to study today around 1-2pm until around 4pm. I then plan on going home to clean, eat, maybe work out and then relax! I'm still a little sick from these allergies, but I'm taking ibuprofen/claritin, cough drops, drinking water (more than usual I suppose), and getting sleep to contribute towards a faster recovery.

I had another ortho appointment today, which was interesting. They did the invisalign molds/impressions that took about 5 minutes per upper/lower row of teeth. It wasn't a big deal--everyone at the office was so nice! I love that place--they play contemporary music, they're always professional, and I feel comfortable. In four weeks I have another appointment known as a 'ClinCheck' (?) where they show me a video of how the aligners will move my teeth over the length of my treatment time. Then in about another four weeks I should get my aligners--exciting! So all in all I'm predicting my trays will come in around November. Hooray!

Living My Truth.

Pride was so bbbbbaaaaaaaaad.

And by bad I mean FANTASTIC! I met so many great people and had great outfits :) For the parade/festival I had booty shorts on and for Krave Saturday night I wore a white vneck + true religion jeans and a chanel necklace.

What I'm also glad is the Thursday/Fri afternoon before I did 80% of my homework! I only have a chapter of finance to study for a possible quiz tomorrow. I'm finishing up laundry and trying to get better from this mini allergy attack I'm having :/ Clariton has done wonders, but I'm going to get some food in a bit hoping that will help me (I haven't been hungry much of today--then again I've been sleeping most of today!).

I had an ortho appointment Saturday morning, and according Dr. Aplin about two more until I wait for my trays. I'm assuming the trays should come sometime in October.

Absinthe, Le Reve, and The Lion King + Investment Revealed

I saw three fantastic shows this weekend--Absinthe at Caesar's Palace, Le Reve at The Wynn, and The Lion King at Mandalay Bay. They were all different and enjoyable on different levels--I'm so glad I saw all three :) Amazing company too! I absolutely loved The Lion King; The costumes, the singing, the music, the storyline--beautiful. Absinthe was funny beyond belief and Le Reve had such a mature finesse to it.

So, as promised, I'll reveal the 'investment' I'm doing. I'm getting invisalign--I'm so excited! :) I have two more appointments and I should get my first tray sometime in October. Treatment will be about 1-1/2 years and not teeth needs to be extracted.

This Friday/Saturday is pride! I have decided my outfit for Friday (parade), but I'm still indecisive for Saturday (festival). Definitely expect pictures :)

I love my Marketing teacher--she is so funny! I find this year's classes are a lot more interesting. Additionally, I have been getting into v-necks a lot lately. American Apparel deep v-necks in XXS are gorgeous--they come in a variety of solid colors as well as striped patterns. The weather was gorgeous today too--not too hot nor too cold. In fact, at night (around 12am) it was rather cold!

X-Rays, Louis Vuitton, and Classes

Guess what?

Today was my first appointment (initial consultation was 2 weeks ago) where I put my down payment and had x-rays taken :) I am so excited! My next two appointments are within this month as well--the final two before the big day! I will reveal what I'm doing on my next blog post ;) You know, I may be making this a bigger deal than it should but...I can't help it!

I also bought my first Louis Vuitton bag! I was never big into labels, but I decided it was perfect timing to get one--pride is next week and school has just started. Summer is coming to an end and a new accessory would be perfect for the fall! I got a Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM. I was stuck between a more tote-like bag and a purse-like bag; I decided toward the bigger bag for sure! This one will be for everyday, casual wear. I'll most likely purchase a chanel/gucci/LV in the near future for evening/night wear.

I am definitely enjoying my classes this semester--I find understanding the material is easy and transitioning from summer isn't as hard as I thought it would be. In fact, I just finished studying chapter two for my MKT 301 class before writing this post!

Also, I have been working out consistently this month! I love my work out routine--it usually consists of jogging for 15 minutes, 3-5 minutes for leg sit ups, and about 2-3 sets of arm crunches at the gym in my complex. I love where I live too--it has two fantastic pools, a great gym with effective equipment, and a relaxing sauna. Now I don't want to be a buff guy--I love my 26" waist! But I do enjoy toning my body and keeping it tight. You can see that below ;)

My Monterey trip has been finalized--I will be going in October! I'm excited to see a great friend as well as enjoy the gorgeous weather California can bring :)

Fall 2011, Pride, and Future/LOVE show

The fall semester has started! I have officially started my junior year :) So far the classes are really picking up as they are my upper undergraduate courses. I love school! Everyone this year has been friendly and my professors (so far) seem great. I wore a tank top (totttttallllly cute) the first day and a vneck/unbuttoned open polo over it the next. I know outfits are not as important as the education I am seeking, but I feel I am more comfortable when dressed in the way I love.

Pride is coming up soon--it is in early/mid September. Las Vegas is one of the later prides this year and I can't wait to celebrate it! I already have my outfit chosen and I am going to put in a new navel piercing ring for the event ;) I won't reveal which one I will put in, but it will definitely be a crowd favorite!

I am so excited for the future--school looks great and I am enjoying the classes I am in (even after only two days), my 'consultation' is tomorrow in the morning (more on that later), and I saw the LOVE show at The Mirage! It was a phenomenal show featuring the best Beatles music. Great acrobatic feats and amazing choreography. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous show with gorgeous company <3

Wow.

I have been to Chicago before (and absolutely loved it), but this time was an absolute mind-blowing experience. I rode in a train, I went on the Sears tower and stepped in a reinforcement glass where I could see down through the glass, ate at amazing places I have never dined before, took a BILLION pictures, shopped, saw a movie, went on a boat, and so so so much more!

My hair during the trip looked GREAT! Haha I was surprised how well it turned out, but it made taking pictures smoother.

The Wendella Boat Tour was absolutely gorgeous--something I will never forget. I went on the Chicago river and saw beautiful buildings up close. I also went out to Lake Michigan and saw the city from afar--drop dead gorgeous. My hair was allllllll over the place and the sun kissed me in all the right places XOXOXO

We ate at Pizzeria UNO--fantastic deep dish pizzas. It was a cute little place and while it took a while for to pizza to be made, the experience was well worth it.

I am looking back at all the pictures I took and every hour I spent waiting—train or plane—was worth it. The views I saw and the buildings I peered up at really gave me intense perspective on how many people there are in the world! Each office of each tiny little window I saw of each building of each block represents hundreds—thousands—of unique, individual lives. Crazy!
And when I came back I set up a lot of appointments! I feel twenty years old and I feel like an adult—I absolutely downright love it.

Chi Town & Music

Chicago in three days! I have my new work schedule submitted & approved for class in two weeks. I am actually taking my last 'math' class for the College of Business online--something I have never done before. I love campus classes because I find I can have a better interaction with the professor/peers and usually a better academic experience. However, I do want to learn the material through a different medium and who knows, I may enjoy it! I am also registering for the class because my schedule is more concise.

Music has been my oasis this summer! It has been instilling a sense of confidence I haven't had in months--maybe because I feel more mature. I have matured socially, financially, and even physically. Entering my twenties has been fantastic so far! There's this mental separation from my teen years that feels like I have grown exponentially in the weeks just after my birthday (July 26). I am no angel...I like it when you do that stuff to me <3 (Wynter Gordon)

I have been mulling over the idea of dying my hair the past few weeks...and I decide that a dirty blonde/brown will be my color of choice. Blonde wouldn't look as good as I would like it to (compared to my skin tone) and dirty blonde/brown may be a refreshing change. However, I do love and embrace my true black mane xoxoxo

August and September will be two months of change for me. As I mentioned 1-2 blog posts ago, I have made a few major investments in myself a week or two ago. While beauty definitely takes time to develop, I know that by the end of 2012 my patience, finances, and time spent will be beautifully cultured into a refined Cameron Fitch. As the months progress I will eventually reveal the steps I am going through to change a little bit of who I am. I know the moment I turn 21 and the months to follow will be that of pure beauty <3 And the reason I know this is because I'm setting it up starting this year to make 2012 a fan-fucking-tastic year ;)

As far as this week, I am relaxing since I have been out partying the past two weeks. Took my kitty to the vet for his routine check up, getting a trim and manicure today, and will celebrate my roommate's birthday this weekend! Next Friday I will be in Chicago which I can't wait for :)

Gay Inspiration, fall semester 2011, and a major investment

Before I even start this post in the direction I was heading (which was academic), I want to note what someone told me a few minutes ago; I was on FB when an old friend of mine--a person I debated in high school years ago--told me I was an inspiration. I asked why and they replied I have the tenacity and confidence in who I was. That made my night. You know...I often flaunt my french manicures everywhere I go, wear booty shorts with no remorse, and hold hands in public without thinking twice, but I do appreciate the sacrifices--legal, physical, and social--that have allowed me the social luxiries I exercise today. There's quite a bit of time before we will see the general public comfortably accept two men holding hands or kissing, but our progress so far is jaw dropping. From the incredible stonewall riots in New York to gay marriage in that very state years later--I can only be appreciative of the efforts so many men and women have put into gay tolerance and acceptance. A few decades ago what I am doing today would only bring persecution and hatred beyond anyone's control. Today, I am able to be comfortable in my shoes and not worry about police enforcing their own discriminatory agenda or being kicked out of a store because of who I was with. Of course there are exceptions and the jurisdiction of gay tolerance has not reached every nook & cranny of our world (yet), but after 20 gorgeous years on this planet and in this great country, I couldn't be happier with who I am.

AND with that said...on to the subject of school--classes begin in a few weeks! Below is my fall schedule:

I am really glad I am able to get into my major this semester. I am excited that fall is coming too; I love apple cider, I love my winter coats, and all the fun accessories you can't do in summer haha.

I also have FANTASTIC news--a major investment that I am excited about. I have my first appointment in two weeks and depending on the direction we head will determine if I want to announce what I am doing. I am not going to say anything yet, I will not give out clues or hints, BUT I will say it will change my life in a GREAT way :) And no it's not plastic surgery or buying a home...you'll see soon enough!

BOOTYSHORTS -- I cannot get enough of them! I bought one pair of white booty shorts last week and went to Krave (club) in them--LET ME TELL YOUUUUUUU that my legs did damage <3 I am trying to find more booty shorts, but so far I haven't found one I like :/ HOWEVER, that is not stopping me and this weekend isn't over ;)

So in 2-3 weeks I get to visit the GORGEOUS city of Chicago and then the week after San Diego will show me his pretty lil face!

My junior year begins this fall :) I believe it's the last week of August when I start classes again. I cannot believe this summer is ending so soon! I swear since I've turned 18 each year I have had a BLAST in one way or another--fantastic grades, traveling, getting my kitty (<3), working out and seeing the results, meeting new friends, and trying new things out :)

I broke the sunglasses I got from Nordstrom in Chicago the other day :( Those were AMAZING sunglasses! Haha they were $9 (I think?) and I preferred them over my Gucci for sure. So tomorrow I will be sunglasses shopping :) And I will be looking for new tank tops too!

So I am at work right now...tired, a little sore, but happy. Happy that I celebrated my bday in a fantastic way! Thanks for all the calls/e-mails <3 You have no idea how much I appreciate it :)

As far as what I did...well first I went to the adventuredome at Circus Circus. I went to that indoor theme park years ago and going back relived all my teen years. I won prizes, too! Which you can see down below ;) I also went on a ride that shot me up in the air and then pushed me all the way back down extremely fast--CRAZY! My goodness! But of course I loved every second of it.

Then I went shopping errrwhere, watched Le Reve, and ate dinner. I'm going to use a gun + ride a roller coaster sometime this week/next week since there was no way I could have done it all in one day. Las Vegas was so busy for a Tuesday!

In a few weeks I'll be in chicago--yay! I can't wait since we are doing A LOT--going to towers, a silver bean(?), and muchhhhhhhh more. It will be interesting visiting Chicago in August :)

BIRTHDAY

In less than 24 hours...I will turn 20! I am excited to enter my twenties and I have a few things planned...

SHOP. I do enough of that already, but I have stopped myself from shopping just to have places to go on Tuesday! Haha.

EAT. I'm going to eat at places I have never done before, so...I'm excited! Where those places are is anyone's guess...but I'll decide by Tuesday ;P

ROLLER-COASTER. I am actually saving that for Friday! I decided I will be doing way too much tomorrow that saving it for Friday will be best.

ADVENTUREDOME. There's this indoor theme park the the Circus Circus that I am going to go to! I've been there many times throughout my childhood and I decided I'll spend 2-3 hours there. It has probably been 2-3 years since I've been!

...ANDDDDDD a whole bunch of other stuff :) I'll definitely post the day/Thursday after of what went down.

I also got my nails done and lately booty shorts have grown on me ;)<3

Is it just me or is this year going fast? Especially this month; July has gone by like no other!

Speaking of fast--a few more days until I turn 20 :) I have a cute lil Lacoste outfit that I have chosen to wear that day (excusively) and most of my plans figured out. I'm not sure if I can do 20 significant new things that day (such as riding a roller-coaster or using a gun) because it will take too long, but I will get creative! JULY 26 FTW!

It feels like I'm blazinnnnn--not only due to the Vegas heat--but also because Nicki Minaj is MY GURLLL. Blazin, Super Bass, Roman Romance, and a few others have captured my musical soul in a cage sealed by hardcore 808 beats. And on a more physical note, Vegas is hot! My goodness. While I do prefer blow-dryer-Nevada-heat over sticky humidity (think Alabama), it still gets to me.

And with heat from above typically means the sun is shining down--one word = POOL! My skin has this gorgeous exotic color to it that I am happy I have discovered the sun :) Mind you I only go (for the most part) between 3-6 and I wear sunscreen, I find my entire complex throughout my body looks fantastic.

I do need an even tan...

Lately I have been on a tanning spree--This past weekend I didn't get too much sun due to odd cloudy/rain-y weather, but this week I have been tanning consistently. Last year I wasn't this enthusiastic regarding tanning/swimming, but I find it's helpful. I understand the risks of tanning, but I find if I'm safe and don't worship the sun then the harms are reduced. Fortunately skin/sun cancer does not run in my family--in fact I'm not sure what runs in my family! We are rather healthy overall...we all have caramel-coated skin color (meaning not super white/pasty, but not super dark either), so major hereditary health concerns are not an issue. Nonetheless I tan between 4-6 when the sun, while still out and about, is not as intense.

The results? FANTASTIC! I absolutely love how my skin has a uniform and rich color. It almost gives me more dimension. I also love how it can be healthy to skin when it comes to Vitamin D (I don't drink much milk). Below you can see the progress of my base tan ;)

Next month I have so much in store for me...school primarily. I have an urge to enrich myself in the classes I have enrolled this fall and I can't wait to start :) I also feel--with the models and twinks I have been hanging out with this summer--some subjects like calculus and managerial accounting have fallen to the wayside :P<3

Of course work is great and I love my kitty like no other! Logan and I have really bonded together in the past few months. I need to find out when his birthday is...haha I'll see if there is a kitty cake :D I've also been socializing and falling in love with Lacoste polos (thank you Eric!). And jogging, too. GOTTA WERK IT.

Wait A Minute/Birthday month

Music has been my oasis this past summer! Now, I usually have a universal personality where I (typically) conform to the person/majority I'm hanging out with (dinner, pool, etc). However, when it comes to music it's hard for me to conform-- the only kind I like is superficial, pop, 808's and more on the club level. Of course there are many exceptions in which I will listen to other genres and enjoy it, but for the most part I get so happy with music from Britney, Pussycat Dolls, Miley Cyrus, Ciara, Keri Hilson, etc. I can't help it! In fact, while I am typing this blog up I am listening to 'Wait A Minute' by The Pussycat Dolls.

July is my BIRTHDAY MONTH! July 26 to be exact. I can't believe it but I am entering my twenties. Am I old? For an hour or two I was mulling that idea over, thinking should I change directions in terms of how I act? Maybe shorter hair like those who are older? Perhaps looser clothes? But then I snapped out and realized how silly I was acting. Haha I even told my mother this and she laughed, stating: "you're still a spring chicken hun."

Now, 20 and 21 are two critical birthdays in my opinion (other than 18)--one I am entering my twenties and the other I am able to drink, gamble, etc. So I have decided for my 20th birthday I will do 20 things I have NEVER done before. How cute is that? So far I have come up with riding a roller-coaster (New York New York here in Las Vegas) and dying my hair a dirty blonde (probably the night before my birthday). I'm also considering shooting a gun. But that leaves 17 left and only 17 days left! Fourth of July 2011 Weekend

Fourth of July this year was INTENSE--so much happened that, overall, I give it an A-. Haha I don't mean to be dishing grades out, but I find it best represents my overall feeling for that weekend. I'm not 100% happy, but I am happy enough that I can put a smile on my face and feel gorgeous.

So while I was in San Diego I went to Hillcrest, which I absolutely loved! I haven't been since '09/'10 and I went to this one (gay) store that I went years back! It was fantastic reminiscing on old memories and bringing them back to life. The weather was phenomenal--I don't want to be in Las Vegas if that's the weather in Cali 24/7!

All the boys (four of us that came together for 4th of July), decided to get our belly buttons PIERCED! Now I'm not one to get tattoos or piercings...BUT I just couldn't help it. I'm young, I'm in Cali, I'm with three other queers, and why not? It's perfect for the summer and worst case scenario I can take it out if I don't like it (without looking odd). So I did! I was freaking out and I was a PUSSY--seriously, I don't know what was wrong with me haha. But the piercing artist was extremely understanding and, if he can handle four queers crying about needles, then he has my recommendation FOR SURE. The place is called 'Church Of Steel' located in San Diego. I'm not sure how much it cost, but everything is extremely clean and they walk you through everything. I'll include pictures down below :)<3 It's pink Swarovski crystals and I can't take it out for about four months.

Thennnnnnn after the piercing we went to a pool party! Unfortunately we couldn't get in the water due to our new piercings, but that didn't stop us from socializing! It was cute, I got a little more tan, and overall had a great time.

Also, the Britney Spears concert was AMAZING--unlike her '09 Circus Tour, she didn't look bored. Nicki Minaj was so cute and added spice to the entire performance. It was a somewhat long concert, but there definitely was a herd mentality going on--I jumped and sannnnnnng my little heart out. Britney looked gorgeous and it was fantastic seeing her perform :)

College of Business, San Diego, and Pirates

I recently spoke with my College of Business counselor on the upcoming Fall 2011 semester. I have cemented my Marketing major and will have a minor in Finance--I may turn that minor into a double major alongside Marketing, but I haven't decided yet. If I were to, then I may have to add another semester or two so I'm not sure if that's what I want (I would graduate in the Spring of '14 instead of my originally planned '13 grad date). So four years for a major and a minor, or five years and have two degrees? I'm not sure, but I am glad I have time to decide and will most likely have my decision declared next Spring.

I am going to San Diego in two weeks for Fourth of July--super excited ;) Cute outfits, great weather, and seeing phenomenal people will definitely define the beginning of July 2011 for me! July is also my birthday month; I am turning 20 and leaving my teen years. I'm not sure how I feel about that...should I wear less pink and be more mature fashionably? Haha nahhh, but I will definitely celebrate it with friends and family <3 Now when I turn 21...

Britney Spears' concert is coming up quickly! I will take pictures and definitely record my experience there.

I love AMP energy drinks. Not sure why, but they were really well for me. Random!

Also, yesterday, I went shopping and got a few clothes for my fun Sat/Sun this weekend and my bestie dragged me to see the new pirate show at Treasure Island. It was...STUPID! Not only was the performance sexualized (compared to a few years back) but I felt they degenerated every character in the show. Sure there were a few fires and cannons did blast from ship to ship, but I rate it a 3/10. We were also considering watching The Green Lantern, but I wasn't feeling excited to see that movie so we opted to go buy a movie at Best Buy--hence the photo! I did have a lil' to drink and it made the experience more fun :*

I am also off work in a few minutes! I love my manager--he is one of the most relaxed guys I have had the pleasure to encounter. As far as what I have on my agenda this week...I might go to the pool Thursday afternoon when I'm off work to build up my tan and splash around in the pool :)

Britney Spears' new music video 'I Wanna Go' will be released next week! I am excited to see it because from what I've heard, it's not full of dancing/numbers. Not that most of her recent videos had much dancing, unfortunately :/ But nonetheless it's a favorite song that's perfect for the summer!

Also, this Saturday marks the end of the National Forensics League 2011 National Tournament--it started this Sunday/Monday and the awards Ceremony will be held on the 18th. I saw a few performances via live stream--the actual final round is occuring in Dallas, Texas. I am so glad I was able to participate in Speech & Debate (Forensics)--I cannot begin to sing the praises of such a worthy practice because I wouldn't know where to begin! I'm glad I was able to end my high school career in Forensics.

Tomorrow I will be hanging out with a few friends (and meeting new ones!) to swim at Luxor Hotel/Casino. I'll also be going Sunday--fun! My body usually has a nice set color but I wouldn't mind tanning a bit more :*

Also, speaking of Britney in this post, only a few more weeks until Britney Spears' FEMME FATALE concert here in Vegas at MGM! I cannot wait to see her and hear the great music that came from her most recent album (albeit superficial, 808 beat-embedded songs).

I also have the cutest outfit to wear tomorrow! Haha as you can tell, this post is not so much intellectual as it is social/fashionable. I'll save a more intellectual post for next time ;)

Sun (God) & X-Men

Sun! This is definitely the God I worshipped today out at the pool. I usually don't tan--I like my skin color and it's not pale nor too dark.
But I decided soaking up the rays is healthy every now and then. With SPF 50, a towel, and a bathing brief that is like a wet t-shirt contest the moment I hit the water, I was READY.

Haha alright that was more dramatic than it actually was--I relaxed with music and friends for 2 hours and then hit the pool for another hour. I love swimming! And jogging--two amazing sources for exercise. I'll hit the pool again Friday/Sunday again this week. I also got a slight tan which was cute.

ANNNNNNND right after the jog I went straight to Chipotle--with no shirt, abercrombie; just jeans and sandals. You see, the thing about me is that I love having fun and enjoying the moment I am in. I want to keep this blog until I'm old(er) and look at the places I have traveled, the people I have met, the emotions I have felt, and how I've grown. I'm 19 :*

Tomorrow I am going to see X-Men: First Class. I cannot wait! I recently saw a commercial trailer for it, exclaiming: "It gives The Dark Knight a run for the best superhero movie" -- Now, before I say anything, I need to give you all some background information: I loved The Dark Knight. So much so that I saw it three times in theaters and I bought the dvd when it came out. I never do that with any movie. I'll love a movie and I may rent it when it comes out on DVD, but that's as far as I'll go. So to see a movie and actually purchase a copy of it on CD shows how much love I have for it! And when I saw that commercial for X-Men, I knew it was destiny. What I'm trying to say is that I extremely high expectations for this movie! :)

Hair

I have been considering dying my hair blonde--I think if I can find the right combination of dark brown-blonde layers it would totally look cute on me. I have only dyed my hair once--back in January '10 at the beginning of the Spring Semester (Sophmore year). It was a nice brown--nothing fancy but a great change. Now in order to achieve the blonde I want I will need to bleach my hair quite a few times and on top of that I will need to re-touch my roots, or face having black hair intertwined with blonde that may-possibly-not look flattering. Mmm I'm not that high maintenance.

So until I decide what I want, I will embrace my black hair to the fullest extent!

Now I am usually an all abercrombie boy, BUT, recently I have been attracted to a lovely little alligator(crocodile?) that stemmed from Chicago--Lacoste! It's a cute brand, and fortunately they have a kids department so I can try out some unique colors :)

I started training for my new job today--it was very short and I just learned how the layout was, what I was expected to do, etc. It's a gorgeous office and I can't wait to start! I'm also getting a trim next week and I love how my hair looks and feels after one. And I love my hair stylist! Totally knows how to make my hair manageable and voluminous. Mmm can I get a little goose in my oj?

I am now (officially) a College of Business undergraduate--I found this out not too long ago when I checked MyUNLV and saw the status of my 'college plan' updated. I met the GPA requirements and fulfilled my pre-requisites thus earning an acceptance. I have enrolled in my upper division Marketing classes and cannot wait until the fall semester! I'm going to meet with my counselor next week regarding my minor in Finance.

The weather in Vegas is absolutley GORGEOUS--I actually went swimming the other day! I haven't been in a pool in about a month or two (random cold weather has been coming in the past few weeks).

Speaking of gorgeous, I started jogging again the other day. Typically I do it every night but the weather has been either too cold or too windy in which I won't risk getting sick. Jogging feels great and my legs look fantastic. I was considering taking a picture of them but...I feel odd uploading a picture of my legs! Haha

I am going tomorrow (Saturday) to watch The Hangover 2--I can't wait! I'm actually going to drive myself to Fashion Show Mall and a few other shopping venues because I want to have fun by myself. Usually when I go out I have a lot of friends with me or I might have lunch with my mom/sister, etc. which is fine, but I need some me time. So tomorrow, May 28, 2011, I will dedicate solely to me--I will shop alone, I will eat alone, and I will drive around blasting the 808 heartbeats of Britney & Gaga. I'll make sure to take pictures <3

Travel

So I was at the airport pretty much all day today! I just got back from Monterey, California. In fact, I wrote much of this blog post on the plane :)

Chicago was awesome--Not only did I have the best tour guide, but I felt enriched and 'cultured' so to speak. Probably from the contemporary/classic paintings I analyzed. Is that too much? Haha I'm listening to Born This Way by Lady Gaga now so I place blame (partially) on that song for making me feel slightly philosophical. Anywho, from modern to classic art and sculpture viewing, to watching Fast Five and having a 'might-have-been hooker' approach us at Sushi, my experience couldn't have been better. Take it take it love love me rude boy.

I'm tired! Geeze plane rides are way too long.

Speaking of coming back--guess who had a job interview a few hours before his flight and the next day got hired? ME! It's hard to believe, but I'm happy I'm progressing. It almost appears surreal--I was so passive when receiving that phone call and even when I told my roommate/parents I wasn't jumping up and down to let out my excitement. Maturity? Most likely! It's a secretary position at a real estate firm--I'll be giving my two weeks at UNLV Monday.

Monterey was just fantastic--I went to a spa where the women were so nice and caring. A facial massage = heaven. I had great seafood and definitely had cute outfits to match as well. I made sure that the majority of my meals were seafood related! Haha. The beach was so relaxing just to sit with sand everywhere, waves crashing, and the sun warming me up.

Friday on a Sunday

You know that song Friday by Rebecca Black? It has been stuck in my head for the past few days! I refuse to download it on my iphone but...it's something I have heard on the radio the past few days.

I can't wait to go to Chicago this week, then Monterey, Cali right after! Finals are over, the weather is warming up, and I need to go OUT :) Yesterday I went shopping for a few things before my two trips...I needed more shirts (abercrombie all the way) and a new belt. I also picked up Nair (my legs and thighs don't get too hairy, but I love that clean, smooth canvas--makes the wind so much more enjoyable!) and aquaphor (which is an intense, thick gel moisturizer).

Today my roommate and I are going to The Cheesecake Factory (or a similar restaurant) and I'm excited to sit down, eat good food, and talk! Do you all have a favorite casual restaurant? I might persuade him to Olive Garden since I haven't had that in forever! Errr actually, as I think about it now, I need a new iPhone case and the Cheesecake Factory we would go to is in Caesar's Palace so...not sure! Kill two birds with one stone or go for a restaurant I haven't had in forever?

I have a busy week ahead of me--since I'll be out of town most of this upcoming week I set it up so I work Monday & Tuesday only. But I also have a dermatologist appointment Monday! Speaking of which, I'm going with the intention of anti aging prescription skincare (that isn't too strong, I am of course 19 so I am still mindful) and any recommendations he may have. I love having a strong, professional connection with my dermatologist because I truly value skincare as one of my top priorities.

And then I have a trim on Tuesday. I never receive haircuts--I always ask for a trim and I'm picky about what I get. My hair is part of my lifestyle and while to some that may appear superficial, I find emphasizing my hair and being fastidious about how it's cut cements my identity. I will also be extremely meticulous this Tuesday--I won't leave Las Vegas with bad hair! Haha, but that's also why I get trims--it's less dramatic and I feel I am more in control. I absolutely love Britney's newest album FEMME FATALE!

Ever since it came out I have been playing that beat up and down--from jogging shirtless to blasting them during an accounting session, I have grown up with Britney ever since the beginning <3

Speaking of the beginning, the end is about to come with my sophmore semester at UNLV! I am so excited--I just took my math final Saturday. Which was trouble enough as it is--really a Saturday? I take the class Monday & Wednesday, so to put a final on a Saturday is extremely inconvenient. BUT it is over!

I absolutely love my clarisonic. For those who don't know, it's pretty much a giant vibrating toothbrush for your face. I take my skincare seriously and lately my skin has just been glowing! I give my thanks to this wonderful sonic brush.

Jogging has been making my legs look amazing--I have not only seen definition in my thighs and legs, but also my mood has improved by disciplining myself into a jogging routine.

Once this summer comes, I can't wait to go to beaches along the west coast and pride across the country <3

Two weeks until finals! I feel like I say it every month, but this semester has blown past me at an incredible pace.

Oh, I don't believe I said this, but I got kitty :) He is the absolute cutest guy ever! His name is Logan and we have came far enough where he comes when I say his name, he rubs his body against my leg when he sees me, and sleeps next to me! Man I would do anything for this little guy <3

Lately my hair has been working with me--I think I found the right, systematic approach to getting it picture perfect everytime I step out the door :) I say my hair is 60% of a 'look' (so to speak), 20% your face and 20% your outfit. But I'm fastidious about every detail so perhaps I'm overlooking when I should be enjoying!

Two years until my B.S. in Marketing from the College of Business--intense! I'm more-so earning this degree for personal satisfaction than monetary compensation in a future job. Of course, that's just my personal opinion.

It has totally been forever since I updated this blog.

Talk about being busy, I just have not had any time lately.

But, fortunately, I will get back to blogging with a new layout, more pictures, less girly (I have matured in the past few months) and more bang. I was surprised I got the password right when logging in! Haha it has been that long.

I'm about to finish my spring semester and will have about two more years until I graduate :) I am so excited!

I moved out.

I guess you really never know someone until you live with them, huh? Mental anguish, thousands of dollars and so many tears shed later...it's hard to forget. It's hard to forget the good times, the memories, the love. It feels like each time it gets harder to move on. To progress. To be happy.

....But it's not just about me, it's about the life I left behind, the love I felt, and how I pushed someone to their limits. You have the heart of a leo and I swear, the person you find will be the luckiest man. What I am truly sorry for, am the scars. The emotional scars that cannot be erased, that cannot be eliminated, that cannot be hidden. Eventually they will fade, but for that I can never come to forgive myself for.

And now it's time to move on! It's time to pick myself up and remind myself i'm only 19! I cannot expect to find the partner, nor should I be looking for him! I need to have fun, I need to experiment and I need to...shop! Haha no I'm kidding. But the point is, I can't have a set mindset and plan everything two steps ahead as is habit of mine.

I actually really enjoy my IT job. I'm not a nerd (with my tight abercrombie shirts and skin-hugging jeans, it's difficult not to gain attention :P), nor am I 'anti-social' as many would view a computer specialist. I just love learning something new and not becoming afraid of a machine.

School starts this month! Not too far away, I'll order my books next week and then start my sophmore year :) Account 201 this semester--I want mercy, please. Haha as you can tell, I'm more of the public speaker and hands-on person than a financial expert. Nonetheless, I am excited!

It has been a while since I updated this blog huh? I apologize deeply and hope you all can forgive me! I have been extremely busy and my schedule is constantly keeping me in check.

I moved in to my new place! :) It's different and I love personalizing everything. Of course I couldn't help but blast Britney Spears 24/7 and let everyone know the queer is home ;)

I have learned so much about OIT as a desktop support student here at UNLV. It's amazing how individuals around campus are not only (suprisingly) ignorant of basic hardware/software knowledge regarding computers, but they're afraid! I actually remember when I was afraid that I didn't know what to do with a computer--now I realize it's just a matter of troubleshooting. Although this job can be rather tedious at times, I do enjoy how much I have learned.

Moving out Thursday! Ahhh the wait is almost unbearable. It's going to be a great new chapter in my life :)

In the meanwhile, I got my contacts in the mail this week! I'm glad I got that out of the way. I'm the type of the person to worry endlessly about tasks until they are accomplished!

My birthday is coming up! July 26 and I can't wait. Finally a birthday after the age of 18 haha. What does it matter--it's not like I look 18! It does bring me closer to the age of 21, however :)

So this past weekend in LA was B.O.M.B. I had a blast! I took a picture at the Walk of Fame--and guess which star? Britney Spears :) You bet your bippy I was looking for that tile first.

Busy week! Tomorrow I have a sleepover and then Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I am going to be in LA! Gay twink in the beach, I so can't wait.

Now I have been thinking (and you know when I think, I philosophize, analyze, and examine)...although I enjoy skincare and make-up, who the hell cares? Haha. When I do wear make-up, it's so lightweight and I'll make sure you can't notice :) As for skincare, it's always easier to prevent than treat, right? I have a boyish face and why not prolong that for as long as I can?

Future blog posts will have more substantial meat to them, just an FYI. Sure explaining what happened during the week is fun, but I would also like to exercise my intellectual side. I won't say anymore than that ;)

Busy work week this week :) I got 10 more hours this summer for my job at UNLV. I'm excited! More work means more time to be experienced, I find this to be a perfect opportunity to expand my job horizon.

My economics class this summer is rather difficult. I found out it's a statistical economics class, I forgot I signed up for that. I still earn credit and all, I just hope I do well :/ So far it's been rather tough but only about 2 more weeks! Wish me luck.

Let's get glam! I love Christina Aguilera's new CD :) Although a little too risque for my taste (even I have my conservative limits), I can appreciate Christina's push for more. I'll most likely end up purchasing the album--the cover art looks bomb too!

This week is going to be BUSY. Let me break it down for you:

Monday: Chemical peel is over! (If you don't know, I take pride and serious consideration in my skincare. I utilize chemical peels every 4-5 months to refresh my skin + maintain a youthful appearance. It also gives my face a baby-smooth finish + deep cleanses my pores.)

Tuesday - Saturday: Pretty much WORK. Except DNP, I can't wait for that :)<3

And pretty much so forth on until Sunday. Friday meeting up with Leni (hey giiirrrl hhhheey (;), Friday with Stevie Wonder, and Sunday with my great psychologist friend for lunch! I am one buuuusy boy! Of course little things inbetween, but that's life.

I. Do Not. Like. My. Summer. Class. It is so boring, so dull, and NOTES NOTES NOTES. I could really use a wish right now--a hot professor. For the past 4-5 days I have had the SAME thing at Panda Express for lunch: Orange Chicken, String Bean Chicken, and Chow Mein. Oh gosh if you want to turn me on, bring me some :)

Summer school begins next Tuesday! Expensive too :/ But I can't get behind in classes, so I'll be taking them to get ahead.

This past weekend was BOMB. Literally, it exploded and came all over my face. Ok not really, but it was crazy good! I went to Monterey california for two days and then went to LA! I tried to fly a demented kite haha. I then went and purchased lipstick, etc. Cosmetics :*

I LOVE driving the golfcart at work. Haha it's so much fun!

I feel so free this year. Since the beginning of May I have become more of who I want to be and have thrown caution to the wind when it comes to other people's impressions on me. I have been so much more open about wearing make up (ok I don't really wear make up, just a lot of treatments and then a tinted moisturizer/powder. Barely anything!) and I LOVE carrying around my purse. I use to care about what others thought, but because I know I have the intelligence to counteract my feminine side, WHO THE FUCK CARES? Haha I'm not ditzy because that's all I know. I have a brain. I'm employed. I have lipstick and I'm not afraid to use it! Mmm damnn girl I just busted an ovary with that last paragraph.

Wow, a TON has happened this week.

Alright, first off before Saturday I was preparing like crazy just for this UNLV COM 101 Competition. Guess what? I didn't make it to final round. A girl, an Asian woman who I barely understood and, even when I was able to get past her ridiculously convoluted Chinese accent, had an ok informative speech THAT MADE IT OVER ME.

What. The. Fuck.

I am sorry, but I felt insulted. My speech was about the same, if not longer than hers in length. I did not mess up at all, it was extemporaneous at most points, and I made EVERYONE laugh more than any other speaker. I had a dramatic example in my speech, I gave fantastic points, fuck I even had SIGN LANGUAGE in that speech! And I didn't even make it to final round.

When I told my mom, not only was she outraged, but exclaimed: "Well honey, at least you know you were robbed from advancing to final round than knowing you weren't good enough." She sent that to me via text message and I can't agree with her more.

I'm not being cocky, I'm not being rude, I am talking straight (haha which is the title/purpose of my speech). I was natural, I knew where I was going, and I made eye contact with EVERYONE.

I not only check-marked every box when it comes to a rubric, but I delivered a fantastic speech that was clear and concise. But it went to the international student who talked about her 'jobs' before coming to America. My speech had more social implications than her, I used examples from rare exceptions to the everyday aspect.

Seriously, to tell me I wasn't good enough to advance to final round from a group of NOVICES, is an insult.

Wow, as you can tell I was pissed. I'm not as much anymore, as I had a great weekend after that unfair competition. I had doughnuts, pizza, and raising canes! Haha now I'm going to work out!

I have speech #4 (and the final speech, too) this Wednesday so I gotta work! I have barely started it haha. I also have a math exam on Wednesday and a Business presentation to give, too. Work, work, work.

Seriously, today was long and hard.

Financially, I suck. I may be academically, intellectually, socially, and sexually mature, but not when it comes to personal finance :/ Being in an accident is expensive! Even with insurance.

I was worrying all day about money, but now I have a lot of things covered and know the plan so hopefully things will get better. Talk about a series of unfortunate events!

The new job was ok today. I still feel lost...I'm going to ask tomorrow what I can do/where I can go to learn more about what I do. I want to study this and I want to get better at my job (I'm a Computer Support Specialist). I won't go down without a fight! Haha.

I spent $10 today. That was on lunch and a snack for work. I usually spend a ton each day! I usually go shopping like no other! Now I can't :/ Limitations limitations limitations. Oh well, I suppose this will be best for me to start getting the habit of--A BUDGET.

Good thing is, I still get hit on :) An australian guy asked if he could sit with me for lunch today (I sat alone today, which usually doesn't happen) and he was pretty cute! The accent was hot for the first few minutes...then it got old real quick haha. Oh well, I suppose that's the highlight of my day :P

So I got a lot of compliments on my blue eyes at school today! Haha loved it. I also got a 99% on my 3rd speech (persuasive) today! I'm soooo happy about it :D And the COM 101 Competition is next week (April 17th). Tomorrow i'm going to talk with my lab instructor to help fine tune my speech, but otherwise I feel prepared!! Haha as you can tell im estatic about it.

I start working Tuesday at UNLV! :) I'm very excited to work on campus, it's going to be faaaantastic!

San Francisco was FAB-UL-OUS! I went to the Castro District and saw so many queers haha. I felt home :) I also got hit on and a lot of stares! I suppose blue eyes on a brown-haired hispanic/white kid is quite different.

I also purchased Lady Gaga Lipstick from MAC + their microfine refinisher. I love shopping! I went to the West Fields Mall and it was absolutely fantastic! It was huuuuuuge.

When I came home it was like Christmas all over again! Everything I purchased online came (well nearly everything) and I loved opening boxes (:

I am also healing very very well. My stitches are out, my left foot fits into a shoe (a luxury I didn't have before ha), and I feel + look fantastic.

I had an interview today and GOT THE JOB.

All the associates at the Optometry I went told me to remove my fake eyelashes. I told them they were real haha. They were totally jealous! I never really noticed until removing my glasses but I have extremely loooooooong eyelashes! Haha they make me look so boy-ish and I love it.

I have so much work to catch up but I can do it all tomorrow. Today I am just so damn happy. And its legit when Cameron uses curse words :)

Doctor appointment yesterday :) I am getting a lot better! I am very happy that there is progress. I just finished my antibiotics and got new, slimmer bandages. By next week I should be flying! Haha yeah right. However, I am getting better which is definitely good news.

Tomorrow contacts! =) I will be receiving a trial pair and in a week (i'm going to try and do it before school starts) I can purchase colored contacts :) I am so excited! I'm going to shoot for a green color.

School work! Man I am going to miss a lot. My math professor doesn't check his e-mail and doesn't update crud online so I dont know what to do :( And I don't have the e-mail/numbers of anyone in the class so i'm not sure. I'll call UNLV later today and see what my options are.

Everyone, I have EXCITING news--I am getting blue/green contacts! Figuring it would be expensive to repurchase my glasses (my Burberry frames + lenses + coatings = $670), I decided to go with what a lot of peope have complimented me on--I look better without glasses! And not only that, but with black hair either blue or green contacts will look so pretty :) Haha my expensive taste in frames and all will be replaced with me poking myself in the eye each morning. And to be more specific, the color contacts will be in two weeks. Next Tuesday I have an appointment for an Eye Exam (for contacts) in which I will get a (clear) trial pair. The week following I'll choose which ones I would like (assuming I can get contacts, but I wouldn't see why not. My last eye exam said I had perfectly healthy eyes :D). Haha man I am like a kid in a candy store!

So I figured I do have more time and blogging is not out of the question haha. I'll update every other day or so.

I'm doing better! Emotionally and physically. Next week i'll be taking off all the bandages (left elbow, left foot, and right thumb). I cannot wait to be free-er.

Thanks for all the support, too :) It really means a lot.

In the meanwhile, i'm re-ordering my blackberry so I can communicate again! I feel like i'm going to have a tooooon of voicemails (hopefully I can get them on a new phone?)

Thankfully next week is Spring Break so I won't miss anymore classes. However, i'll be busy doing homework :/

I never realized how yummy soup is until now :P And vicodin is my new best friend!

Tragedy

Hey everyone;

I was in a terrible car accident yesterday night and was admitted to trauma care after having the car I was in turn over at least 3 times. I was driving with a friend and unfortunately, he did not make it--most likely because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. I am still in shock and thankfully, nothing major (in terms of physical damage) occurred. I did need surgery for my left elbow, and my left foot needed stitches, but otherwise my face, hair, stomach, etc. all looks the same. I lost my phone, glasses, etc. and just now have been able to gain internet connection. This is extremely traumatizing for me--i cannot believe i just lost a friend. I now recognize the severeity and importance of wearing a seatbelt. I will not be updating anytime soon as I will try to recover from this tragedy emotionally and physically.

Ocean Avenue

Man, this month is going to get busy starting tomorrow! California Friday-Saturday (: So excited to feel the coastal weather this weekend.

I gave my 3rd (persuasive) speech yesterday :) I did really well! In fact, a girl (before the speech round) told me (after mentioning to her I was participating in the COM 101 Speech Competition) that I would probably win! How nice is that? It was totally a confidence booster. I definitely cannot wait for the competition on April 17th! It will be like speech & debate all over again. Thankfully, I have a high school career's worth of experience!

With that said, I am extremely surprised how many students at UNLV are not as intelligent as I would like them to be. Haha that may sound rude and rather condescending, but most are more worried about text messages than listening to class :/ And to be honest I do the same...but I can multitask appropriately! :P That's my rant of the day, I suppose.

I am giving a business presentation on Real Estate Monday! I haven't been able to prepare because of speech 3, nor will I have time Friday/Saturday, but Sunday is enough (: It will be cutting it close, however.

I AM GAY AND PROUD - Fun Facts III:

1. I am 5'6" but have the confidence of someone 6'7"

2. I'm stronger than you think (haha :P)

3. I fix/touch my hair every 3.4 seconds

4. If you're sarcastic, I'm also sarcastic. If you're a clever/quick responder, I am too. My personality tends to conform to the person I'm with haha.

New burberry glasses (: Did I already mention that? Haha I can never remember. They're a lot more conservative than my D&G and they're cute!

There's not much more to add for me at the moment...I sooo can't wait to go to San Francisco. Seriously, how cool is that going to be. And seeing Wicked?! Haha loooves it. (I want a PhD ;))

I give my 3rd COM 101 speech this Wednesday (: 6-8 minutes long and is the speech i'll be presenting at the UNLV COM 101 Competition! So excited.

I absolutely LOVED Chicago. Seriously it is on my top 3 favorite places ever! I love seeing the super tall buildings (: and I ate these tiny fries as well as watched Alice in Wonderland :D it was a great movie with so many cute little quirks.

Wow 'Up in the Air" was a fantastic movie. I saw it on the plane ride home from Chicago and it's an eye opener. A very raw film, and I'm glad I have a job! Seriously.

I can't wait for class on Monday (: I feel so progressive, having a class day is encouraging right now. I do have another math test on Monday unfortunately :/ but it's all good, wish me luck :D

I am seriously considering dying my hair dirty blonde and getting blue/green pigmented contacts. I want to see how I look with a totally different look! I feel blonde at heart so perhaps all these color changes can work haha. However, I'm not sure if non-prescription is safe? I see many retailers selling them so it can't be entirely dangerous, but perhaps it is long term? Who knows I'm going to call my optometrist tomorrow and check up on that. If I get the green light, well I'll be going green ;)

Chicago this weekend! Ahhh I'm excited (: Definitely a weekend I'm looking forward to.

I have been slacking at school lately :/ I missed two math homework assignments due online (I missed the due las tnight at 11:59pm because I was out with friends haha), and I missed a COM 101 quiz too! :( Hopefully it shouldn't affect my grade too much. It's still somewhat early in the semester so I can still make it up for sure.

I gave my 2nd informative speech this Monday! =) I think I did really well. For some reason I believe my first informative speech was better (both in delivery and in speech writing), but not by much. Nonetheless, once we get into the persuasive speeches I know I can do even better ;)

I slept beautifully last night. I woke up great, not feeling exhausted or anything. I'm happy today =)

I'm considering driving to Town Square mall today and go shopping. But before I even step out into the world, I'll be finishing my homework (English!).

As for me, today was great. I went shopping for (more) clothes, and then did some house-warming tasks (pick up more cases of bottled water, cereal, hair products, etc).

Tomorrow is Monterey! I'm leaving all my troubles behind for the weekend and getting back to them on Sunday.

I am writing this in my bed because I am bored and couldn't go to sleep yet :P hopefully this will relax me, as I always enjoy blogging :)

Monday and Wednesdays always kill me /: I will be up tomorrow from 6am to 7pm and it really isn't that much fun. I give my COM 101 speech next week, however, and I'm really excited about that :D My 2nd informative speech is on TIME magazine and it's rather cute.

I will start having YouTube videos up! How fun is that? It will primarily be product, skincare, and hair products (as well as verbal blog posts). So now many of you may actually see me better than just picture :P

Monterey, Cali this weekend; that will be relaxing :) and then the week after I'll be in Chicago! Two complete opposites weather wise. But traveling is so much fun when you're young!

That Boy is a Monster

Shopping therapy was what I indulged myself in today :) I couldn't find the bag I wanted (even Louis Vuitton let me down), but I did find two fitting pair of jeans (both of which exemplify my legs and butt haha), and v-necks from Abercrombie! I never knew I could look really cute in a vneck, but I'm so glad I do :D

I have two essays to write (both 2-3 pages long, so not that bad) and a midterm to study for :/ All due by Monday. I already have a head start on the essay, but geeze it's back to basics for my COM 101 midterm. It shouldn't be too hard, but reading all those chapters will be difficult.

This morning I had an intense craving for Cocoa Pebbles =P Don't ask why, i'm not sure myself, but attacked the new box I picked up haha. Ahhh I love college :)

I have restricted myself from the UNLV library because whenever I run into the first floor manager, he always hits on me. And it's not even being extra sweet or giving me a compliment--he's outright annoying and tries to keep me in a long conversation when I have stuff to do :(

Cali next Friday :) CGWPHD is soooo good. Can't wait!

All the Right Moves

Last week was fantastic! Hung out in Fresno and had a blast =) I totally can't wait to go back again. Fresno also has a mall with abercrombie for kids! In my book, that's a legit mall haha. It also has Forever 21 and Hollister...I approve!

The Berkeley & Harvard Forensics (Speech & Debate) tournaments were this weekend! :( I'm simply reminiscing on past memories when I attended the Berkeley tournament. I had so much fun! That was the weekend I found out my team's president was gay and tried to hit on me in the hotel room. Haha I had a boyfriend at that time too! He knew it as well. Geeze high school was one big drama-filled balloon!

Next week I'm back in Cali, except this time Monterey. Looking forward to it!

I'm still basking in the positivity of last week at UNLV. From a 97/100 on my COM 101 speech to a math test I believe I did well in--i'm happy and proud :) Speaking of UNLV, since I only go every Monday & Wednesday (and today's a holiday), I only go to school once a week this week! Haha it's pretty awesome. I love my Spring semester schedule.

I used Nair last week while in Fresno. Don't ask me why I decided to try it there, but geeze I was smooth in places I didn't know I could get smooth. Love it!

You know, I would love to have a massage. I was thinking about it the other night...I am always the person that works, plays hard, and is constantly planning ahead. And with that said, I am going to make an appointment at a spa! Haha who knows where, but I was thinking the Wynn or a strip hotel. I'll decide by Saturday and make an appointment--today I'm going to Cali! Departing in...about four hours.

I received my speech evaluation grade sheet for COM 101 today and I got a 97/100! I was so happy to see that :) The three points I had taken off was for formatting issues with the actual paper, not anything related to speech or delivery. My lab instructor then wrote she is looking forward to seeing future speeches from me. I also found out that COM 101 holds a speech contest near the end of the semester! How fun is that?! I am so excited and I definitely cannot wait :)

I got new glasses! While driving I accidentally dropped and stepped on them...yeah it was one big mess. Anywho I drove into lenscrafters, got a much-needed eye exam (haha last one I took was 3 years ago :P) and got D&G glasses :) I also have perfectly healthy eyes which I am happy, especially at the age of 18.

I took a math test yesterday...and if you have been reading my blog you know how difficult Calc 2 is for me :/ BUT the good news is that I legitimately belive I did well =) I'm very happy this otherwise stressful day (yesterday) turned out positive.

California next weekend :) This will be a fun adventure and a tiny break from my busy schedule.

My English 102 professor gives out too much homework :/ And it seems as if he is asking questions that are too obvious (thus nobody really want to answer it--does anyone understand what I mean?) I personally am tired of him forcing me to waste paper simply to receive a 'check' mark on it for completion. There is nothing I dislike more than busy work.

A guy walked into Abercrombie yesterday and asked if he could use the fitting rooms. Naturally I smiled and said sure, taking my key out to unlock the door. Anywho, I wasn't aware that he didn't have any clothes with him to try on (the store was quite busy, rather unusual for a Wednesday), but even if I did notice I wasn't going to say anything (who cares?) So as I continued to ring up customers and fold clothes, I hear a shriek of disgust and the phrase "OH MY GOD" following the frowned lips of my co-worker Rachel. Apparently that guy (fitting room 3) took a dump in front of the mirror and next to the door. Not only did I nearly throw up because of the smell immediately surrounding the area, but because someone just took a DUMP in the fitting rooms! I really couldn't believe someone would do that! Thankfully my manager likes me and didn't make me clean up the mess! :) The most interesting aspect of my day (an unfortunate) was a piece of turd.

Hello! :) Sorry for being so distance with my blog posts, I have been one busy critter.

California was PHENOMENAL! Haha I loved it :) The weather is awesome and so was the aquarium in Monterey. Sea horses are so cute =)

Work, school, work, school has been the same montonous pattern I have to follow so far! Haha nothing too exciting soon. However, I did give a speech on my favorite place (required for my COM 101 class) and guess what my favorite place was? Any speech & debate tournament :D Everybody was really enjoying my speech and even came after class to tell me that I was fantastic! That totally made my day. It brought back nostalgic memories of my speech & debate days *tear*

A guy at Jamba Juice hit on me today and complimented me on my pair of pants. My pants do make my butt look good, but I'm sure he wasn't talking about that ;) Haha UNLV is fantastic. Queers and homos around every corner; I feel more comfortable here than at A-tech (my small high-school) which had NERDS :P

I am excited to go to Chicago! :) It will definitely be a weekend i'll enjoy.

In other news, my hair color is fading :/ I'm considering going dirty blonde next time, but not sure. To be honest I like my hair brown better than black! Haha.

So i've been working out and (in the picture below) you'll see some abs as I lean on a wall! Haha well trust me, I don't want abs! I much prefer a flat stomach.

Chipotle is f.a.n.t.a.s.t.i.c! And i'm convinced it can be nutritious...I get my rice, corn, meat all in a nice little package :) My car most likely reaks Chiptole. Speaking of food, i'm not sure why I have been eating so much lately! I'm not getting bigger (thankfully!), but my appetite has grown, despite my stomach still being a small little thing.

Ohio was phenomenal :) I had a ton of fun! The plane ride felt like it took all day haha. Chicago next Friday and I'm excited! Not only is Chicago gorgeous, but the buildings get me each time--spiraling stories upon stories of man-made architecture. Fantastic :)

Nothing too exciting in the next few days other than homework. For my Com 101 class I need to post a topic for my first speech (about my 'favorite place') and my intelligence feels insulted. I've been participating in speech and debate for four years, making each lecture repetitive. Annoyingly repetitive. Oh well, easy A+ I guess. Not too intellectually stimulating, however.

I don't get Calc 2! And I doubt I'll need it for Marketing. But math is required so...:/

A guy gave me his number in Ohio. He was a sweetheart! I suppose wearing a pink/blue tight shirt with matching converse and jeans gave my sexuality away :P

I shaved errrrrwhere and caressed my body in the shower before leaving for Ohio, so now my body gets cold easily! Haha I typically get cold/hot fast (not much body fat), but smooth legs/thighs just intensifies the weather.

Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian tonight! :) I'm excited; i'm wearing my blazer to this event instead of a hollister/abercrombie-decked outfit haha. I hear it's great so I'm excited to see it.

Great movies are coming out this year! I'm excited to see Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton and Iron Man 2. Both trailers/previews enticed me into the plot (as all previews should).

I'm a busy boy this month! I've slightly mentioned my schedule in prior posts, but man school + social life will be a battle to the death! Well, not really but I will be balancing a lot. Ohio this weekend, Chicago the next, and finally I'll end January with California. Tomorrow I have a full day of classes ahead of me--starting with Information Systems at 10am and ending with Calculus II at 6:45pm. But the day is not over yet! I will be driving home to pick up my suitcase to take over to a friend's house (I'm sleeping over) before I head for the airport Thursday morning. I love sleepovers! :)

2009 was a phenomenal year that opened my eyes tremendously. From learning how to drive to giving oratories, i've certainly gained my fair share of knowledge. And with that said, I want to spend some time explaining what I find socially attractive in another person (man or woman). I've had a couple of boyfriends and close friends that allowed me to analyze what I like to see in a person. The first thing that instantly attracts me is confidence. If an individual is confident in what he or she is saying, has the ability to talk to me coherently, and acts like a friend (as oppose to an admirer--important distinction here) then I'm hooked. If someone who is attracted to me is intimidated or nervous around me, I tend not to stay long around that person. I'm always friendly and love to be myself--when someone acts differently because they're around someone they like I find it fake, deceptive, and not a turn on. I could care less about physical/facial attractions--i'm more of a personality guy.

Use Somebody

I have been a busy boy lately! From work to ordering textbooks, from friends to shopping I couldn't help but keep my mind occupied until school starts.

I saw Sherlock Holmes last night and it was great! Fantastic actors, great humor, and overall the plot was extremely interesting. I also saw the trailer of Iron Man 2--wow that's going to be phenomenal! I loved the first one and this one should be just as good. Can't wait :)

I also will be out of the state for a good portion of this month. Next Thursday I leave to Ohio for the weekend, the week after that Chicago, and the weekend after that Cali! Spring Semester, here I come.

Speaking of college, I can't wait to dye my hair :) This Friday it's going to be a light brown color and pictures will be taken--I can't resist :P

I'm leaving for New York in 3 hours! And leaving for the airport soon. I wonder what mother got me for Christmas...

I saw Avatar last night and thought it was phenomenal! Every moment was significant and no dull moments.. Great actors, great graphics...geeze those 2 hours went by quick. Oh and I went to blue moon prior with my good friend Steve and another dude to sit in the jacuzzi. Nice way to end my last night in Vegas before Christmas!

To be completely honest...I cannot wait until I dye my hair. How much fun is that going to be? That and I need to make time to pick up the D&G glasses I ordered. Ahhh the necessities of a queer.-

My friend heard that I eventually want to become a real estate broker and thus offered me to be an intern at his cousin's office in Vegas. Needless to say I am extremely excited for this opportunity :) I'm going to meet the guy sometime next week and we'll go from there.
